What began as an idea by two community members to gather a few central New Jersey farms in 2004 has now become an integral part of thousands of families’ lives in central Jersey each week. With fourteen regional farms, all located from within 50-miles of West Windsor and thirteen artisan food producers, natural product vendors, and on-site knife sharpener, we are extremely proud of the quality and quantity available to our community and surrounding areas each Saturday. Our mission continues to highlight and support the farmers in our great state and connect them directly to their consumers.
While many of the public events have been curtailed this season due to the global pandemic, the amazing community feel is still very much felt at the outdoor market! Families, friends and neighbors can be found enjoying a fresh juice, crepe or breakfast sandwich while enjoying the sites, smells and sounds of our Market. As organizers and lovers of a healthy lifestyle filled with fruits and vegetables, we hope to empower all of our visitors to enjoy New Jersey’s rich agricultural history and bounty as well!
We are proud to have been voted as New Jersey’s favorite farmers market by YOU for the past nine years!
FMNP/SFMNP at several farms & SNAP/EBT accepted throughout the market with a dollar-for-dollar match for EBT up to $20/day.
The season doesn’t end at Thanksgiving when the outdoor markets close; indoor winter markets continue at MarketFair Mall in town, twice monthly from December to April.
May brings us back outdoors to gather and celebrate the Garden State’s bounty.
Please stop by, say hello and enjoy all our farmers, vendors and Market have to offer!
Amazing place for bonding with your neighbors over a cup of coffee and music!
Love the fresh produce too!
We love it, one of the best places in the WW township to visit and buy!
We need the farmers market.
Love it.
It’s an amazing place where you see the community bonding along with support for local business. It’s a must if you are in the town on weekends!! A place to enjoy fresh produce, quick bites, garden plants and much more!!!
The West Windsor Farmers’ Market offers a wonderful mix of local farm produce, local businesses like an artisanal organic chocolate busoness and non-profits that support our community. The music playing (during non-pandemic times) just adds to the great experience.
The West Windsor Farmers Market is part of the fabric of the community. We enjoy seeing people there as much as shopping for great food and supporting local businesses.
I love the West Windsor Farmers Market! Customers have a variety of vendors to choose from. A place to meet friends, buy weekly kitchen needs, have breakfast, contribute to local food bank, drop weekly plastics for recycling,…. I can go on and on.
I love the West Windsor farmers market. It has become part of our Saturday routine. There are wonderful choices of both ready-made and fresh ingredients. I’ve been very impressed how in these times, it has been able to pivot and provide a safe and comfortable environment for the community. Hats off to Chris Cirkus and the board!
I love the West Windsor Community Farmers’ Market. I respect their commitment to sustainable practices, especially to reminding customers to bring their reusable bags. I love the way they build community and maintain safe practices during these Covid times.
West Windsor Farmers Market is a great place for our community to buy organic food straight from those who produce it. It is lovely to stroll around, listening to live music, eating good food and shopping. This place is very refreshing!
This is great market. I like all os tbe same things already mentioned! I appreciate the ability to contribute to a local food bank. They always have a list of what is needed. And it’s a great justification to indulge in a guilty pleasure….so many temptations.
Thanks so much, Susan! We love our relationship with Arm in Arm as well, and hey, who doesn’t love a guilty pleasure once a week??
Love the West Windsor Farmers Market! My husband and I started going when we moved to the area years ago, and it is now our weekend tradition with our toddler. Friendly faces, fresh produce and great food options. We’re lucky to live so close!
Greatest market going
Chris is incredibly informative and passionate about what she does. Thank you for all that you do Chris!
The WW farmers market is tops! We try to go every weekend. There is always something happening besides the selling of great foods. I love the feel with music usually playing, people bringing their dogs, and knowing you will bump into someone you know, it is truly a community event. Chris Cirkus is the mastermind behind this farmers market and it shines under her direction.
Visiting the West Windsor Farmer’s Market each Saturday is one of the highlights of my week, and a great way to start off the weekend!
Year after year my all time favorite Farmers Market in NJ. A big variety of truly local farmers. Easy parking, music, if no cash you can buy money chips with a debit or credit card. Its always such a pleasant and inspiring experience! Thank you Chris for all you do!
I have been shopping at the market since day 1! I go to many markets in the area, but WWCFM is the best, hands down.
This market is the best!!!
This is a terrific market–always hopping!
The West Windsor Farmers Market is a favorite place for our family on Saturday Mornings. The local produce, pasta, meats, cheese and bakery items are without fail fresh and delicious. The local food trucks (Tico’s Acai Bowls are my favorite), add to the fun atmosphere and I always love listening to the different musical talent. The best part about this Market are the friendly faces. Chris has done an awesome job bringing the community together and keeping us healthy. Thank you!
Best farmers market in NJ!!
Having visited and performed music at several farmers markets throughout the state, I can say that in my experience the West Windsor Community Farmers Market stands above in terms of organization, attendance, convenience, variety, entertainment and friendliness.
It is our town’s Main Street, and feels like a community in and of itself!
Chris Cirkus, the market manager, makes sure that each week includes a community event, including local master gardeners and other non-profits such as the West Windsor Bike and Pedestrian Alliance, and pie-baking contests, and cooking demos using fresh fruits and veggies from the market vendors. Fresh food donations are also collected for area food banks at least twice a month, you’d be amazed how much is donated by generous market customers! Also good music each week as well. A fun market for both vendors and customers – a real community gem.
Thank you, Susan!!
