The Shreveport Farmers’ Market provides bountiful weekly markets every Saturday starting June 3rd through August 26th and will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Festival Plaza, located at 101 Crockett Street in downtown Shreveport. The Shreveport Farmers’ Market has over 75 vendors that sell a variety of homegrown and homemade items such as fruits, vegetables, herbs, plants, honey, breads, jams, jellies, pastries, candies, pickles, cheeses, shrimp, various canned goods, seasonings, sauces, and meats. In addition to the variety of foods, there will be local artisans that have handcrafted items such as art, jewelry, crafts, candles, soaps, and dog treats. Prepared breakfast and lunch meals will be available for purchase and consumption.
The Shreveport Farmers’ Market is the only USDA-Approved farmers’ market in the Shreveport-Bossier community, which allows for acceptance of SNAP benefits. The Louisiana Healthcare Connections SNAP Match program will return this year. Shoppers with a Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) card can receive a dollar-for-dollar match of up to $20 in purchases at the Shreveport Farmers’ Market. In addition, our new Greaux the Good partnership will allow an additional match of $10.00. That is a total of an additional $30.00 customers can use on SNAP-eligible items at the Shreveport Farmers’ Market. Through these partnerships, area SNAP recipients will be able to gain access to fresh, nutritious, local produce at the Shreveport Farmers’ Market while boosting the local economy by shopping with local farmers, ranchers, and artisans.
Free parking is available in the adjacent lots to Festival Plaza, along with the metered parking on the street. There will an ATM onsite and some vendors accept credit/debit cards. In addition to accepting Louisiana Purchase (SNAP) cards, some farmers accept Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Food Coupons available through parish Councils on Aging. No pets are allowed at the market (service animals only).

The Shreveport Farmer’s Market is a great way to spend a Saturday morning.
The produce is fresh; Great selection of meats, frozen vegetables, soaps, pastries,
come enjoy Saturday mornings in the summertime!
Shreveport Farmers Market is a wonderful place to buy local homegrown fruits and veggies from the Ark-La-Tex. Nothing
beats the taste of “Fresh”. Conveinent, nearby, “Free” parking makes it easy to transport your haul to your car. A wide selection awaits you at this market. Get to know the vendors , question them about their growing practices, to make sure you are getting exactly what you need .One of the pleasures of the early weekend is to attend this event :).
I appreciate the effort of all our local farmers and look forward to their produce and wares each growing season. There is NOTHING like a big, juicy homegrown tomato, fresh field peas, sweet corn, squash and all the other healthy deliciousness they provide. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I can’t wait until the market opens Saturday morning. I will see you there!
I love the farmers market in Shreveport!!! Such a great selection and wonderful prices!!
Love ❤️ the Shreveport Farmers Market! Awesome vendors with top quality products!!
This is great for the members of Shreveport. I wish the farmer’s market would be available year around. There are products that are available in the fall and spring that we would really enjoy purchasing straight from growers.
We love the Shreveport Farmer’s Market for the fresh produce and the baked, grilled, etc ready-to-eat dishes/desserts we can buy and especially for the special “you won’t see this in a grocery” sights like an actual honeycomb that local beekeepers have brought to share with their customers.
The Shreveport Farmers market is amazing. I try to make it every weekend!
The farmers Market is great, We have been buying produce and other things here for years, There is a wide variety of products and all the vendors are extremely friendly.
I am a vendor at this wonderful market for 10 years and I enjoy all the people I meet here.
The Shreveport Farmers Market is awesome. Such a wide variety of items to choose from in addition to all kinds of produce. It is right down town in Shreveport on our festival grounds so you don’t have to drive out in the country. In addition to the produce my favorite things are breads made by a Mennonite couple from Bradley Arkansas and other baked goods.
