The Oxford Farmers’ Market is a local volunteer-held and vendor-driven market located in the historic Village of Oxford, NY. Our primary mission is to make locally grown, raised and prepared food available to the community, by providing a welcoming venue for local farmers, bakers, artisans and artists to offer and sell their products. Everyone benefits!
During the summer season, from Memorial Day through the end of September, the Market takes place on Lafayette Park in the center of the Village. Weekly events are held in the historic Bandstand, which provides a classic platform for musicians, artists, story-tellers and experts in wild edibles, canning, composting, fiber, renewables and conservation.
On the park, shoppers can find 30-plus vendors offering a wide array of fresh seasonal produce, local milk, cheeses and yogurt, eggs, meat, hard ciders, homemade breads and baked goods, jams, fudge, honey, and maple products. For home gardeners, there are bedding and vegetable plant starts, bulbs, and hanging arrangements. As well as locally-raised alpaca and wool products, beautiful artisan crafts, including hand-sewn items for the kitchen and home, unique hand-crafted greeting cards, wooden and fabric items, and jewelry.
From November thru April many of the same vendors gather indoors on the first Saturday of the month for the Oxford Winter Farmers’ Market, from 10 am – 1 pm in the Fellowship Hall of the United Church of Oxford, 16 Fort Hill Park, just over the bridge from Lafayette Park.
We are also now holding an Online-Pickup Market on the Third Saturday of every month, November thru April.
