This is a great way to conveniently enjoy the bounty of our nearby farms! There are at least two and sometimes three produce stands as well as a fruit farm vendor – peaches, apples, plums, raspberries, blueberries, applesauce and more. There’s also a full display of high quality meats from historic Springfield Farm. On a rotating basis, there are vendors for beer, wine and distilled spirits. There are wonderful bakers – breads and cookies. Food trucks are a regular feature, too. The staff is friendly – pick up a free copy of PLENTY Magazine, celebrating our Ag Reserve – and parking is easy.
The Montgomery Village Farmers’ Market is now in its 11th year! This market offers farm fresh fruits, vegetables, eggs and meats as well as offerings from local breweries and distilleries. There are home made cookies, breads, jams, jellies, salsa and relishes. It is fun to watch the arc of the growing season as cool weather lettuces and spinach give way to strawberries and blueberries, then corn, tomatoes, squash and pumpkins. At the information table, there are free copies of PLENTY Magazine which celebrates Montgomery County’s Ag Reserve. Be sure to pick up a copy!
Without farms, our markets and tables would be empty. Get a free "No Farms No Food" bumper sticker to show off your support of America's farmers and ranchers.
