The Farmers’ Market at Lakewood Ranch is home to more than 100 curated vendors of the region’s best food and flavors, located at Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch. The Market has fast become a favorite weekly tradition for people from all over the region seeking farm-fresh produce, delicious prepared foods, and specialty items and gifts. Aside from all the goodies you can shop at the Farmers’ Market, find your flow in a free yoga class or have the kiddos get creative during weekly-hosted workshops.

I have to somewhat agree with Mark (below) — this is a fun market, with interesting stalls, food trucks, good bread, crafts, international foods etc. Definitely worth a Sunday morning outing…..However, it is not a Farmers market — from what I see, most of the year there is just one actual farmer with a small stand mostly with herbs and plants and limited but unusual leafy greens in tubs… Then there are two sprawling ‘vegetable’ stands with what appears to be supermarket seconds in plastic bowls… There was a wonderful organic produce stand early in the Spring, but it seemed to make an appearance for at most six Sundays,,,, More fresh farm produce – even if not Organic – would be wonderful….

This is NOT a “farmers” market. There was 1 produce stand when we’re were there. All food trucks. What a joke. Don’t waste your time.

Hi Mark, thank you for your thoughts! Our growing season here in Florida is September through May, so a majority of our organic farmers take the summer off to prepare for their next season. We still have three produce options during the summer, with one of them being organic. We host over 80 local small business vendors in the summer, and have an extensive list of all our vendors on our website. We only have one food truck at this time, but encourage you to continue to support the local small business vendors who power our market.

The Market at Lakewood Ranch is the best local farmers market! The atmosphere is beautiful and there is such a wide variety of vendors, from fresh veggies, to fresh cut flowers, and artisanal goods. They are always adding new vendors and evolving their offerings. Its my favorite thing to do on a Sunday.
