Over 40 vendors offer a variety of local products, among which are fresh seasonal produce, meats, herbs, potted plants, baked goods, honey, cheese, mushrooms, cut flowers, and more. Williamsburg Farmers Market accepts SNAP, Credit Cards, and William and Mary Express. The market participates in Virginia Fresh Match and offers a dollar for dollar match on SNAP without limits. Enjoy chef demonstrations and listen to local musicians. POP Club runs weekly from 9:00 am – 11:30 am with activities and a two bite challenge for children. Williamsburg Farmers Market is celebrating its twentieth anniversary all season long!
The best small town farmers market we have ever been to every time I take pictures of it and send to others they say I with we had a farmers market like that where we live!
I personally know some of the vendors at the Williamsburg Farmers Market, all wonderful people who sell even more wonderful products. You’ve got coffee, fresh baked goods, healthy lookin’ produce, and a great team of volunteers who’ll guide you to whatever you’re looking for. If you have time, stop and say hello to Tracy Frey, the friendly market manager! Definitely stop by this farmers market if you’re ever in Colonial Williamsburg on a Saturday morning!
There isn’t a more beautiful setting for a farm market anywhere. It brings out the very best from farmers and shoppers. All one can think of is wandering in and out of a perfect Grandma’s farm kitchen in an idealized world of freshly grown, freshly baked, picture perfect and topped with local honey, as you take your farm raised hard cooked egg along to nibble on. Already making plans to savor what ever magic will be served for dinner. Nostalgia at it’s healthy best. But wait, it’s real!!
Mom Cooked with Canned foods, so shopping at the Williamsburg Farmers Market includes a learning curve.
I never had fresh peaches, so I had to learn how to peal Peaches, now I love fresh Peaches (now how do I cook Green Beans?).
My only suggestion to Venders, maybe offer a 1-2 page How-To pamphlet for Dummies/Newbies (How-to Peal/Prep, Cook, …)
The Williamsburg Farmers Market just celebrated its twentieth anniversary – milestone for a market that brings the community and local food together.
A wonderful local market. Vendors are friendly and the produce is always fresh.
All of the booths provide excellent quality products.
Also enjoy the musical programs!
Very clean and well managed market.
Thanks to all of the volunteers
This is the most beautiful and complete market I seeing anywhere. Love it because is unique
Williamsburg’s Farmers Market is the best! They have wonderful produce, baked goods, pastas, meat, eggs, fresh flowers, dog treats and so much more! There is also an emphasis on children and introducing them to eating from the farm to table. It is such a lovely market in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg! We love it!
You can create an entire week worth of meals (including many desserts) with a quick visit to the market. They have everything you would want including local and organic produce, fresh pasta, local meats, delicious baked goods, and beautiful flowers. For the furry friend there are homemade dog treats. It’s a pleasant trip every Saturday if you are local. Worth a visit if passing through Williamsburg.
Williamsburg’s Farmers Market is outstanding compared to other small-town markets where I have been. The produce is always fresh and beautifully arranged in the booths. The baked goods are certainly of higher quality than found elsewhere. Attending the market every Saturday is a high point in my week.
Find it the best on the eastern side of the country. What ever you are looking for they always have.
Love, love, LOVE this Farmer’s Market! People are always so friendly and helpful and enjoy sharing knowledge about their products. Look forward to going every year!
A great Market with fresh produce, meats, goodies, etc. Our dog loves to go and just walk around seeing all the people.
This is a wonderful example of a real farmer’s market. Every vendor offers quality goods and the setting is great fun. So happy to be back in VA.
Favorite farmers market!
This is a wonderful Farmer’s Market! Our young daughter enjoys dancing to the live music while we pick our favorites from the freshest and tastiest produce. On top of all, the vendors are nice and friendly and often engage our toddler in conversation. We can’t wait to be back next Saturday! 🙂
Williamsburg Farmer’s market is the best in this area. I love to go every Saturday– [ if I am in town]
Vegi & Berries are so good also the meat which I have not bought, but heard from friends it is very good.
Eggs baked goods are exellent
I get my weekly squash, berries, bread, kombucha, and peppers here every Saturday- and I stock up for the week for under $25. The variety of goods and service from vendors is superb, even on the rainiest of Saturday mornings. The Williamsburg Farmer’s Market is one of the highlights of my week!
This is the best thing that has happened to our area in almost 20 years. It is a treat to go to the weekly Williamsburg Farmers Market. I know all the vendors, and enjoy the variety of foods they sell.
I also support the way this Farmers Market supports those who are on a challenged income: there are ways for more fortunate citizens to pay for fresh and healthy foods for families who have limited resources. And this market provides matching value; when a citizen donates funds for the needy, the market vendors provide food products in double the amount. So for every dollar donated, a needy family gets $2 dollars worth of nourishing food.
I am so happy and proud that we have the Williamsburg Farmers Market.
I visit small town farmer’s markets throughout the country as I travel and have never found one that compares to ours in Williamsburg. We have it all: a vast array of fresh produce and fruit, grass-fed meats, local farm-raised fish, seafood, baked goods and condiments, cheeses, plants, and it’s all locally grown and fresh. I never miss it each Saturday morning unless out of town.
Love this market. Every Sat. I’m there. Big fan of the Dogs that visit also.
Lots of variety, nutritious foods, hormone free beef, pork, and great fresh water fish. They help our community by matching SNAP dollars via donations, and assist William and Mary students by accepting WM dollars. The market is a family affair, we see regulars week after week listening to great music or enjoy listening to the Chefs at the Chef’s tent……it’s our community gem!.
This Farmers Market has been a favorite of ours for years. It has a wonderful varietu of vendors that sell top quality products.
The market is one of my favorite places in Williamsburg. The vendors are from the near-by counties and are always helpful, and friendly. The market is dog friendly and my dog loves to visit the market, especially when Betsy is there with her specially baked doggie treats.
A great asset to our community. We can get delicious, nutritious food straight from the far or the bakery and local craftspeople. The variety of vendors makes a trip to the Williamsburg Farmers Market well worth the time. Additionally, when there a person is transformed from the workday world to a place of calm and wonderful aromas.
We are lucky to have such an array of local produce.
The array of available food and the integrity of the growers is what sets this market apart. The vendors are guaranteed to grow their own food and the quality is par none. Fabulous market!!
I love this farmers market i know everybody fairly very well they are very sweet and nice people
Everything sold at this Market is Certified to be grown or made in the State of Virginia. It is truly a Farmers Market. Everything sold has been hand produced by Virginians, not shipped in from other states or countries. The produce and bakery goods are the freshest that can be gotten short of picking it from the fields or out of the ovens yourselves.
