Find Us at a Farmers Market Near You

This summer marks the 16^th year of America’s Farmers Market Celebration™ and to celebrate, we are popping up at farmers markets across the country! Vote for your favorite market from June 1 – July 31, 2024, to help them win a cash prize and national recognition! 

We’re excited about visiting farmers markets nationwide to drum up support for farmers and other producers, who deserve recognition and thanks for their hard work playing a crucial role contributing to their local food hubs. AFT staff will be at farmers markets every weekend throughout June and July sharing information about farmland loss and regional AFT programs in addition to handing out swag. 

“You just can’t beat the atmosphere of a Saturday farmers market on a beautiful morning. The community is gathered, produce and baked goods are plentiful, and you’re reminded that the work of American Farmland Trust has an impact that expands far beyond the farm,” shared AFT staff member Rachel McDonald, who represented AFT at the Bloomfield Farmers Market in Pittsburgh, PA last summer, a staple of Rachel’s Saturday mornings. 

“Often in my role at AFT, I am working with producers, but at the farmers market, I spent most of the time engaging with shoppers, so it was a great opportunity to chat with folks interested in the work AFT does but coming to it with a somewhat different perspective. Some of the shoppers I talked to were learning about AFT for the first time, others were long-time members and supporters, and several recognized our notorious No Farms No Food® bumper sticker and were thrilled to get their very own from my table!"
