Boise Farmers Market is a food-centric and agriculturally based market.
At this time we are operating as the Boise Farmers Market Drive-Thru. This concept keeps our customers, vendors and staff safe. Each week 600 to 700 people reserve a pickup time and place an order online on Tuesday and Wednesday for Saturday pickup. Vendors drop off what has been ordered early Saturday morning. With the help of 90+ volunteers, orders are sorted by time and placed in each customer’s car. The process is almost no contact and our Covid-19 precautions are closely followed to help keep everyone safe and well. We also take local food out to our Boise Area neighborhoods with the Boise Farmers Mobile Market. We have made this experience safe and convenient for our shoppers by changing the Mobile Market shopping experience to make sense with the current circumstances. Sales have increased this summer as word has gotten around that “Vanna the Veggie Van” is a safe and easy way to get fresh local produce.
Farmers markets have a long history of being more than merely a place to exchange goods. The Boise Farmers Market is committed to playing an important role in fostering new ideas in the regional food system. The Farmers Market is a place where the public can learn about the relationship of local food and farms to our health, our economy, and our culture even during this unprecedented time.
