Our mission is to preserve the vital agricultural tradition of our community and connect our community members to the food they consume; three quarters of our market is reserved for farmers and food providers. Live music and artisan goods every week.
This is the REAL DEAL. Most of the vendors come from just a few miles away, making this a LOCAL market. If you want to know where the “hippies” went to after the 60’s, many came here. The VIBE is GREAT! Great produce, baked goods, cheese and meat, as well as crafts, and prepared food (Lata’s Indian is a favorite), along with local entertainment. WELL WORTH A TRIP. We are now post-COVID.
This is truly a LOCALS market. I’d guess that most of the vendors come from 15 miles or less. Occidental iws an old logging town going back over 100 years, with a hotel about 150 years old. If you want to know where the “hippies” migrated to, check out Occidental.
