Norcross Community Market is a producer only market featuring Georgia Grown and locally produced goods available directly from the growers and makers. Due to COVID-19 the farmers market has pivoted from an in person market to an online market with contactless drive-thru pick up and extended the season to provide locally and sustainably grown products to the community and to support local entrepreneurs.
I just found Norcross Community Market this year. It has been great to order online and have touchless pick up. However I am looking forward to being able to wander from vendor to vendor and see them in person.
The Norcross Community Market is instrumental in making the City of Norcross attractive, unique, and a true “place to imagine.” The market meets the needs of a diverse community, providing affordable locally-grown produce and artisanal products as well as resources and education. It is one of only two markets in Gwinnett County that accepts SNAP for authorized food purchases and doubles their buying power through its partnership with Wholesome Wave Georgia Fresh for Less program. It achieves its mission of creating a community around food!
The Norcross Community Market has been a mainstay in our community for 5 years and is growing each year. In addition to local & sustainably grown produce, the market also provides opportunities for new food startups to showcase their products and grow their business. The market is a community gathering place and works with the Sustainable Norcross Commission to to educate the community about sustainability, recycling and other initiatives such as our Bee City certification & pollinator gardens. Before COVID, there was also music and children’s activities. The market staff have done an amazing job of pivoting due to COVID. We order online and have a touches pickup. Can’t wait to get back to our in-person market.
