Can’t find some things at the big stores but the market has them reasonably.
It’s about time our small town got some recognition, the farmers market is awesome
People may not agree that out farmers market is fresh but it is in fact they help those in need to so please vote Meigs county Farmers market
Our Farmers Market is not just fresh veggies and fruits, it’s a family. Even tho we didn’t get 1st place we rallied around and put up a good fight for a market that has only been here about 5 years and that’s what a true market is. They will keep doing the Veterans vouchers, matching for SNAP recipients and vendors donating to the local community kitchen, food bank and those in need. They will keep helping young entrepreneurs with a free booth, the weekly local music talent and cooking class once a month. You would meet some of the nicest people, the best vendors and the strength of a small community that is proud of what they have accomplished in such a short time.
I will finish up with all I can say is watch out next year big city market we will be back at ya! PS…love the fry pies!

More than a Market and place for commerce! It’s a meeting spot-it’s our village square. People come to shop but mostly to linger because they know they’ll see a friend or a neighbor. The lower parking lot in Pomeroy is brimming with smiles and positive energy every Saturday.

This market is right on the mighty Ohio River. Once a bustling important port when paddle boats traded shipments. Now it has a new purpose. The market offers opportunities for small businesses and locals. Here you will find farmers with fresh goods, homemade clothes and knick knacks. They also offer entertainment in many different ways. Music, stories, kids corner and cooking classes. They offer programs for those who need help. I love this market.
I moved here to Pomeroy in March 2023 from Florida. I love the hometown feeling I get here in Pomeroy. The market is awesome, all the fresh fruit and vegetables along with the beautiful plants, the best candles made local. And the greatest coffee shop.River Roaster all right on the river. Megis County Farmers Market rates number 1 to me.

The Market has grown more each year and it truly has something for everyone! What makes this one of the most unique Markets in the U.S. is the historical scenery, from the buildings, shops, and the most prestige river view. Also, directly from the market you’re overlooking into the neighboring state as you watch boats enter the river from the levy there. This is such a great market, with such a homey comfort feeling! A great place to find locally sourced veggies, homemade breads, beautiful plants. There is always wonderful live music, a kids korner, a Veterans voucher program , so many beautifully made goodies of all types, truly something for everyone ! Even if you don’t need anything , it’s a great atmosphere with so many friendly faces to just catch up and visit. It brings so many people out to the town! Definitely worth a visit, this local community is like no other .
This market truly belongs to the community, their support, love and joy make every Saturday feel like a party. The vendors give their best every Saturday to the community they serve. The County supports this market in every way which just adds to the unity that has blossomed. Beautiful location local market without presumptions!
Market is great, but Stephanie, the Organizer, is not very nice to the Vendors, if they don’t agree with her, and I have seen where partiality is shown with some of the vendors wanting to sell same products as other vendors.
I have been wanting to come and have many people I follow on social media that I love seeing all they make and do. Will be up soon. This is my favorite season too so that helps.
I came out every Saturday to just be a part of the Joy! Seeing a community together with out divide is so refreshing! Prayer every morning and Gods love is not shy there!

Fantastic farmers market right along the Ohio River! Fresh produce, flowers, breads, pies and a variety of local meats, as well as handcrafted jewelry, soaps and beautiful, original artwork. This event gets bigger and better every year! They offer food vouchers for seniors and veterans. There is always a project for kids. Local businesses benefit from the increased foot traffic and out-of-town visitors. This is a top notch market!
I absolutely love the Meigs County Farmers’ Market! They were open during Covid pandemic offering wholesome food, arts and crafts, and safe socializing. Since then it has continued to grow! They are very community minded with children’s activities and sponsoring entrepreneurship guidance for their young people. Many local farmers bring in their home grown produce, mushrooms, honey, meat, chicken, eggs, bakery goods, seedlings, and much more. Local artists’s arexavbig part of this market as well. They offer live local music. They provide a wheelchair and wheelchair accessibility. They also donate left over food to the local Mulberry Community Center. They accept vouchers from SNAP. I cannot give this market enough praise! They all really care about their community. We are so thankful for the foresight, faith, and hard work that Stephanie Rife had to begin and to continue this market. Thank you!
