The Marksville Main Street Market is a weekly gathering that connects the community of Avoyelles Parish with the farmers, ranchers, and agricultural artisans of Central Louisiana. This connection strives to improve the physical, social, and economic well-being of our rural area by providing access to fresh, healthy, local food for residents, fostering community relationships, and serving as a business incubator for growers and producers.

Main Street Market is such a wonderful idea and much needed in our area. There are many vendors to choose from so there’s something for everyone! My fave has to be the the fresh eggs and free range chickens!

Our rural market gives our local growers and artisans a place to sell their product to the community. Like wise, it gives our community a gathering place to support our local farmers and craftsman. The market has breathed life back into the downtown area! The market manager has teamed with the local Arts community and they have coordinated days to host a monthly art gallery exhibit and walk around the square. It’s a great start to revitalizing a small rural town and supporting local farmers.
For a small town, the market packs a big punch with approximately 22 – 25 vendors and about 150 customers from around the parish each week.
