I have lived in Dublin for half my life, and I just started visiting the Market on Madison this year. I am OBSESSED! Not only can you get delicious produce from local farmers, but also a variety of natural beauty products, local honey, homemade pet treats, handmade art, positively perfect pastries, every flavor of jam and jelly under the sun, and the most buzzin’ cold brew coffee! And talk about Southern hospitality! All of the vendors, despite having a myriad of personalities, are so nice and welcoming. You can see people of all walks of life stocking up on local goods. They also have different events throughout the market season that are fun for the whole family. And when you’re done shopping, gabbing, and caffeinating, the heart of downtown is just steps away. The Market on Madison is a joyous staple in our little gem of a community.

Market on Madison is the total package. Fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables, fresh baked goods, locally harvested honey, homemade jams, jellies, relishes, and the list goes on. It’s a family affair. Having special events for the kids helps create lifelong memories so they can carry on the farmers market traditions for generations.

I love going to the Market on Madison on Saturday mornings. I’m able to find the best vegetables like tomatoes, squash, peas, and potatoes to just name a few. Fresh blueberries, blackberries & strawberries. I enjoy chatting with the vendors and talking with the different friends I run into at the market. My favorite vendor is Rhonda Daniel Ely’s booth. She has the best homemade bread, Pecan Pies, Habanero Pepper Jelly, and Firecracker Saltines around! Another favorite of ours is Hot Rod’s BBQ sauce and oh I never pass up the homemade apple tarts. The Market on Madison has other wonderful items like candles, beaded jewelry, and wood work items. Some booths have plants during certain times and quilted items. It’s always a good morning at the Market on Madison. There is something for everyone!

We have been attending the Market on Madison for a couple years now. However we don’t go every Saturday but we do love to visit when we need/want something fresh. The vegetables are plentiful to choose from here if you arrive early enough. Sundown Cattle Co. has the best local meat options at the market along with some of the best seasoning I’ve ever tasted. There is other shopping options as well such a handmade jewelry, soap, candles, & even dog treats which part of the proceeds benefit the animal shelter. One of my favorite non food item buys is the concrete stepping stones in which my kids can draw on with chalk. We have two turtles, a pumpkin, & a bat. They’re so cute in our yard for display. The best part is you don’t have to make sure to get cash out on hand. If you forget they can take money off your card & give you tokens to spend with the vendors. They also accept EBT if that is an option for someone. My kids love the events they have every so often as well. I’ve never had a bad experience here & love looking around early morning.
