This producer-only market features locally grown and produced foods and farm goods from Franklin and contiguous counties. Visitors will find about 30 vendors selling veggies, fruits, baked goods, sauces and spreads, honey, meats, eggs, soaps, herbs, spices, plants and more. Each week, free samples and recipes are available, and there are special programs throughout the month, like Kids Days, chef demonstrations, music and food trucks.
The market accepts debit/credit, SNAP/EBT, and WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks. Customers shopping with SNAP and the WIC and Senior FMNP have the value of their purchases doubled, thanks to the Kentucky Double Dollars Program, Community Farm Alliance, Friends of the Farmers Market and community supporters.
The Franklin County Farmers Market is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 am to noon, from May through October, and Saturdays, 8 am to noon, from mid-April to mid-November, plus select Saturdays through the winter. The market is held in a pavilion, rain or shine.
