Recently found this amazing place! Love the atmosphere, food, and fun!
Love the Flint Farmer’s Market! It is filled with the greatest variety of vendors! The restaurants are awesome (Steady Eddy’s is our favorite). We love D’Vine Wines! Maria even brings in asparagus from her garden to sell in season! You simply must check it out!
The Flint Farmer’s Market is wonderful. There are many different vendors. Be sure to visit A Bit of Earth, a cute little store just past the food court, on the right. There are restaurants there, too. As well as takeout food places. It is so much more than just fresh vegetables and fruit.
Love love the Flint Farmers Market. The vendors are excellent. It’s hard to decide where to eat but Steady Eddies is our favorite.
Flint Farmers Market is the place to visit! Unique shops and great food.
This is my favorite market to go to! I grew up in and around Flint and I’ve loved seeing the growth of the market. A variety of fantastic vendors with a great atmosphere.

Very convenient. Very fresh produce, meats cheeses, bake goods, clothing and etc. Very friendly vendors. Vendors located indoors and outdoors. Wide variety of vendors. Food trucks. Reasonable prices found. Great entertainment spaces for performances. Great spaces for renting for events. Great atmosphere!
Great Market, while LACKING Parking Spaces, which I note B4 the move and continue to state ;-( fact over fiction. The ‘shops/vendors & personnel’ are AWESOME! not so for parking.
This is easily the best farmers market I’ve ever been to the wide variety of shops and good atmosphere is perfect, could spend hours here
I’ve been all over America and there is no farmers market like Flint Michigan’s shoutout to the spuds and Charlie’s bbq
All the vendors are very friendly and I enjoyed walking around the flint farmers market
Best market in the country

Best Market for the food, family and connections!
This is my to go to market, I order from John Henry’s Meats so I pick my order up but not only that I’m able to buy crystals from those nature people, get apple cider and also get a wonderful smoothie fresh juice from willows garden. This is easily my favorite market.
The Flint Farmers’ Market is a wonderful venue to shop for fresh vegetables, backed goods, fish, meat, chicken, eggs, and many other items. With the food vendors, there are delicious choices. It’s a friendly destination any Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday.
This is an Amazing Market ALL YEAR LONG!!!!!!
I have been going to the Flint Farmers Market for 60 years. I love their new location and variety of vendors. From fresh greens to just out of the oven bread, local honey, and good places to eat breakfast and lunch, it’s a winner. I also like to sit outside and listen to the music while enjoying a smoothie or freshly made juice.
The Flint Farmers Market truly deserves to be number 1. I used to love taking my children to the old Flint Farmers Market, and now they love taking their children to this one. Quality meats, produce, hand made goods, and prepared foods are abundant here. The cornerstone has got to be Steady Eddies, with their beautiful produce, delicious cafe, and terrific staff Nickie and Chris do a wonderful job supporting their customers. Everyone working at the Flint Farmers Market deserves our support!
What an amazing and fun filled place! From daily shopping for goodies, lunch with friends, weddings and rough top deck parties this place has it all! It has an amazingly positive vibe that brings together folks from all walks of life in one centrally located and adaptive Li reused building and historic downtown Flint!
When the Flint Farmer’s Market moved downtown it was a much nicer venue! More venders and a much larger selection of goods, including produce, restaurants, and hand made items. Flint has been known for a lot of negative press, but the Farmers Market has the most positive energy in the area. You should come down and see for yourself!
very pricey
This market has everything!! We love spending the morning playing in the children’s area followed by a smoothie and picking up our fresh fruit and veggies for the week. We always meet such kind people and there’s always fun activities on the weekends like the princess day or comic event.
A market with great choices in produce, meat, cheese, and gathering space…..the “whole” community comes to this space and knows just what to expect. A safe and lively and healthy spot. AND the meeting room spaces serve the area in dozens of ways.
The Flint Farmers Market is the best. Vast variety of foods and people. Great location and hours.
We travel the USA and always look forward to our saturdays at the Flint Farmers Market. It is the center for the community and some of the most unique shops and foods.
My favorite!. I love the market and the staff there is wonderful. Thanks to Karianne and Dick for all the help for Genesee County Seniors:)
GREAT, something good for every one. The Flint Farmers Market is #1!!!
Love the new location and the fact that so much more programming can go on here. Has many of the same vendors we loved at the old site like “A Bit of Earth” bookstore. Every time my children and I go in it is a wonderful experience that showcases the best of Flint and the surrounding area. We always come away with a good feeling in addition to a loaf of “Crust” bread, a cider slushie from Porters Orchard and the best no bake cookies in Flint from McCarrons.
The new market is incredible. I see some comments on the parking. This is a much needed public parking area, not dedicated only to the customers of the Farmers Market. Even if you can’t park right on site, walking the streets of downtown has never been as enjoyable in my 35 years of living in the area. So take a walk, enjoy life and find other things to complain about. The Farmer’s Market has provided space for so many more small vendors, artists, etc…. that weren’t able to showcase their work in the old market. If we only understood just a little of what is happening behind the scenes at the market, we would all be humbled. We all want a better Flint and this market is a huge step in the right direction.
Flint Farmers Market remains as the shining star of Flint after all these years. The new location is better than ever, centrally located, across the street from our U of M Flint campus and dormitories and with tons of adjacent paved parking. We shop there often with friends and family throughout the year. Flint Farmers Market has to be #1 market in the nation…it could not be any better!
I love everything about the Flint Farmers Market!!
the Flint Farmers Market has a lot to offer. We usually go there on Saturday to shop and watch the bands.
don’t miss miss the holes in the old parking lot. Flint has changed over the years and needs some new uplifting places to go to meet people. The new farmers market is a great place to spend some time and bring home some goodies.
go there often. it is a great place to shop and listen to music, full of friendly people
First place we visited when we moved here and we can’t get enough of it!
Great market
Really impressed with the Flint City Market. A fun place to be. Outdoor –fresh food. Even entertainment at times. Indoors- wide varieties . Easy to spend a couple of hours there.
Fresh fruits and vegetables at a fair price and supporting the area farmers.
I truly love the new downtown Flint Farmers’ Market. Saturday was a chilly drizzly morning; but when we walked through the doors of the market, we were wrapped in good, warm aroma and pleasant conversation. As we made our “scan” through the aisles, we ran into three people (not all in one group) that we hadn’t seen in a couple or a few years. Enjoyed an omelet at Steady Eddy’s before checking out what was new in the art shop. Then, gathered up the fresh vegetables (and cookies) we had scanned earlier. My husband and I were surprised to realize that almost three enjoyable hours had passed. A pleasant date. A great market.
GREAT PLACE TO GO TO.
Love this place!
I love going to the Farmer’s Market every Saturday, the atmosphere, the vendors, the fresh food, the friends…It truly is a community and one of the bright spots in Flint, Michigan.
I am a vendor at the Flint Farmers Market in Flint, Michigan. I had always enjoyed taking my grandkids to the old Market …( the Market is now housed in the Old Flint Journal building and remains open all year ). I love everything about this Market! The people that walk through are not only locals, but are also from around the World. I have talked to the family that just live a few blocks away, the Students from Mexico City, the ladies from France, the girls from Sweden, a man from Syria … India, Czech Republic, China and from all over the United States. You can purchase cheese from Norway or a book for your child or the BEST chocolate milk EVER from a local dairy. Travel to Mexico, Beirut, Viet Nam for world flavors or go for a great backyard BBQ, a vegan delight or sandwiches of turkey and beef. Not to mention the Hot Dog guy that serves only Michigan’s Own … Koegel brand hot dogs.
The Flint Community and so many of the local surrounding areas have welcomed me, my family and my product with open arms and we are our own little community within. From Management to Vendors to Maintenence all do their part to make our Market the Best it can be!
Many local farmers share their goods and all help to benefit the Flint Community. The Flint Farmers Market has helped the City of Flint tremeously and it shows with the smiles we get from our customers and the traffic it brings to Downtown. They are glad we’re here! Come for a visit and see for yourself … you will easily see WHY we are the Best of the Best!
Thank You! Terri, Owner of The Gourmet Apple Cart located in the downtown Flint Farmers Market.
Love our market more and more everyday 🙂
The Flint Farmer’s Market is a shining star in this community. With their amazing vendors and the Hurley Wellness Hub and Children’s Clinic attached, I think it will be hard to find a better Farmer’s Market in the nation!
The old location was a farmer’s market. This is a marketplace with a couple of farmers. Good for a quick bite to eat, but parking is hard to find. Many people park here, that do not use the market
I totally disagree, there is plenty of parking! There is the same vendors / more vendors in the new market.
We have never had any trouble parking at the newly located market. The new location is 10X better for parking situation than the old site PLUS there are tons more vendors and lots more variety of things to see and do within walking distance of the Market. The old location was land locked and had nothing of interest surrounding it at all.
Great market but honestly they need to address the parking issue. Huge lack of parking space!
I miss the old location, because I think it was more accessible to those who needed fresh food on the North end of Downtown, however the new building is great and really a true shining star in the Downtown area. The vendors are friendly and reasonably priced. I see some veggies and fruits which are occasionally sold out of season and upcharged because they are sold as ‘farm fresh’ when they are grocery repackages, however not often and not as bad as other farmer’s markets I’ve been to (i.e. Eastern Market in Detroit, lol). It’s becoming a great Flint institution and really encourages urban farming, which is great. It deserves to be number one.
i love the Flint Farmers Market!
Number 1
Love the Flint Farmers Market
The Flint Farmers Market moved to 300 E. First St. in downtown, one block from the main street just about one year ago. The building was the former Flint Journal print building. There are now over 50 vendors along with a community room and 3 commercial kitchens! There is also an outside pavilion for the spring, summer and fall seasons. It is absolutely fantastic. This market definitely should be considered for “Best in Class” and the cream of the crop!!!
