Established in 1752, the year of the City’s founding, the Easton Farmers’ Market (EFM) is the oldest, continuous open-air market in the nation. As a producer only market, the EFM is committed to providing a safe, transparent environment where consumers can shop with confidence, and purchase their food from trusted sources. All products sold at the EFM are locally grown and produced. The vast majority of the produce is naturally/organically grown. All meat and dairy are antibiotic and hormone-free. Animals are pasture-raised. Prepared food and ready-to-eat vendors source ingredients from local farms whenever possible. All farms undergo a full on-site inspection. EFM strives to make fresh food available to all. EBT is welcome and all EBT purchases up to $10 are matched with Lehigh Valley Fresh Food Bucks.

We get down to the market just about every Saturday, I do miss that they are not open on Wednesday anymore, but we do now have the indoor market open so that does make it up a little. The farmers and vendors that comprise the Easton market are a great bunch of people, they are friendly and openly show they appreciate the business that they get from the people downtown. It’s great to walk up to a stand and they remember your face and your name, they even remember what you are particularly looking for each week. The produce, meat and cheese products are some of the best we have had and I hope that the longstanding tradition of the market continues in Easton.

Going to the Easton Farmers Market is a highlight of my weekend. From the fresh fruit and vegetables, to the baked goods and other homemade items, as well as the dairy and meat farmers, there is a wide variety of items to choose from. The friendly vendors and entertainment make the trip even more enjoyable.

I have come to really enjoy my weekly visits to the Easton PA Farmers market. The area is safe, clean, and very inviting to all who come to experience one of the best farmer markets I have seen. The vegetables are very fresh and of an excellent quality and variety. The meats, cheeses, breads, grains, and sweets are always a welcome site in my kitchen each week. My son is away at college and looks forward to the prepared foods I get at the market to help him through a full night of studying…the Mediterranean cuisine, homemade soups, pastas, and the crab cakes are some of his favorites. It is a tradition well invested in and I genuinely thank the Easton Political team and the Easton Hospital Administrative team for their support in making certain this tradition stays vibrant!!

I love the Easton Farmers Market because it stands for community, there is no other way to maintain a healthy neighborhood than real farmers and craftspeople bringing their products to our community in a way that is honest, direct and without the elitism that sometimes goes on at such events. Easton’s market is for everyone who cares about themselves, their families and the community we all share.

Why come to the Easton Farmers Market? Well, it is the oldest continuous farmers market in the country. You can get everything that you need for every meal, from yogurt, granola, eggs and bacon for breakfast, to a full meal plus dessert for any diet for dinner. Oh, and if you want wine or beer with that meal…it is right there, along with coffee, tea, fresh juices, smoothies and milk. Now, add the beautiful location in the center of the town, great local music, restaurant vendors making really tasty meals from the locally grown/made products, and even cooking demonstrations, and you can see why people travel to Easton year-round to get to our farmers market. Stop by if you are in the area- you’ll see why we are so proud of our market and our farmers and vendors.

I visit the Easton market at least once a month in summer. The farmers and the veggies are the BEST! I enjoy spending the day walking the square and visiting the shops. Easton Winter mart is a great experience also. Cant wait for the new building. Thanks to all who make this happen.

I love the atmosphere at the Easton, PA, farmers market. They have the nicest selection of so many goods available. I know the quality of the produce I am purchasing there is the freshest and the best I live at the Jersey shore but whenever I have to be in PA I try to arrange it on a day when the market is open. It had so much flavor to the City of Easton.

We make sure we go to the Easton Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning. The colors, the sights and the sounds let us know that we are a part of the best weekly event of our city. The peaches I got last week made the best jam. And we loved trying a canary melon for the first time. The baked goods are absolutely delicious. We are glad to be able to share this with the community and our friends and family.

I love the Easton Farmer’s market because there is such a variety of genuinely fresh produce and foods that local restaurants prepare with local foods, and create a lovely environment. The farmer’s market in Easton, PA almost shuts down the Circle (the area it is hosted in Easton) every Saturday due to the amasses of people participating, and I would have it no other way. Love it; A+.

Easton Farmers Market is an exceptional outdoor environment that embodies what a typical downtown community market is all about plus more. How many farmer’s market are there that is open not once but, twice a week (Wed & Sat.)? Yup, not many. It provides essentials from artisan bread & soap to organic greens & fruits, grass fed beef, free-range chickens, drinkable yogurt, assorted mushrooms/olives etc etc. at an affordable price. We even have a vendor who can sharpen your knife for you. Wine vendors from local wineries sells excellent selections. These are just a glimpse of my favorites but, there is more to this market—it’s that great feeling that you get when you have made contributions to your community supporting the local farms & small businesses who provide quality & healthy products. Shop healthy, Live Healthy so, they say.

I love the Easton PA farmers market because it’s such a great environment to know and talk to those farmers that are busting their butts trying to make a living to bring us organic, chemical free products every week. I will never buy another egg at a food store, only from my local family farmers! It’s nice to see more and more younger people taking on this amazing way of life to support their own families while bringing us the best fresh meats, fruits and vegetables!
