Nestled in the tranquil village of Dixboro, Michigan our Farmers’ Market is a throwback to yesteryear. Situated alongside a historic one-room schoolhouse on the Dixboro Village Green, the market is dedicated to supporting local growers and producers through the creation of a vibrant marketplace welcoming to all. The market aims to preserve both the area’s agricultural history and foster innovation, while meeting the demands of area residents for additional opportunities to purchase local, fresh food. Our consumer base has increased each year of our 4 year existence. Consumers are appreciative of the diversity of vendors at the market, including fresh produce, incredible baked goods, fresh eggs and delights such as wonderful lemonade and BBQ. They also love our “house band”, the Vintage Strings of Michigan, who stop by to play during the dinner hour. Consumers often purchase their dinner from the vendors and listen to the music as they dine. The market is open from 3-7 pm (EDT) each Friday afternoon from the end of May until the end of October. Special events associated with the market include the Dixboro Community Fair (July/Aug), the Cars on the Green Show (Sept), a Halloween extravaganza on the last day of the market season (Oct) and a seasonal market (Nov).
