Nestled beneath ancient Live Oaks on the grounds of the colonial Pound Farmstead, in the historic heart of Dripping Springs, TX, this is an authentic country farmers market. Featuring 50 farmers, ranchers, artisans, craftspersons, a range of gourmands, and the best-darned kettle corn popper this side of the Pecos – most from within ten miles – the DSFM is the very essence of “locally made” and “locally grown.”
About Dripping Springs – located 25 miles west of Austin, DSTX has grown into the region’s best place to raise a family. With open spaces and friendly faces, this popular day trip is home to dozens of destination breweries, distilleries, vineyards, and wedding venues. The Farmers Market has been a community centerpiece since 2009 and has thrice been voted #1 in Texas in that time.
Best ever!
I would love to see some of the vendors in Kyle. Wishful thinking, but I will still look forward to my Market trips to Dripping in the meantime.
The dripping Springs farmers market is always a pleasant experience. Great merchants, I am a regular customer.
Dripping Springs Farmer’s Market Rocks! Literally. They have a wide variety of vendors, live music and friendly people. I love this market for so many reasons but there are two aspects that really stand out to me.
One, there are a variety of offerings for FRESH, CLEAN, FARM-TO-MARKET FOOD. It’s important to me that my family eats Real, Wholesome Food and that we Support the Local Farms that provide that to us. Not only do they offer seasonal fruits and vegetables but there’s a wide selection of eggs, pressed juice, cheese, spices and even meats from farms that focus on creating a better environment for our world and our food. Some offer specialty & exotics choices as well. If that wasn’t enough, you can also purchase REAL, Preservative-Free FOOD for your fur babies.
Two, not only are we building up our own community by purchasing from the farmer’s market but many vendors are working for a bigger cause than simply sustaining their living costs. Whether it be for the environment or an individual in need of help, the community you find in the Dripping Springs Farmer’s Market is truly an amazing and unique one.
Community. Friendly. Awesome food and plants. It is the best of local farming! I love my Dripping Springs farmers market. Goat cheese? Doggie snacks? Veggies that burst with flavor? The best produce in town. The Dripping Springs Farmers Market has healthy, yummy treats. Not to be missed,
I love the laid back feel with music, picnic tables, and friendly vendors.
Love the vibe of this beautifully situated market.
Love this local market. Great fresh produce and other products as well.
What a Goldilocks market – not too big, not too little – just the right size! Plenty of vendors and choices of food, without the crushing crowd. You can really get to know the vendors, and meet people from the Dripping Springs community on any Wednesday afternoon here. A local must-do!
The fact that it is a beautifully presented organic market right beside the hectic highway of 290 always makes me feel like there’s hope for every situation. Once out of the car and into the market space itself, the highway just disappears and folks turn into laidback happy farmers. Well worth the drive from Austin or Fredericksburg. Don’t miss this authentic farmers’ market!
Great market in every respect. Wide variety of products to view and great fresh produce to purchase. Venue is conducive to slow and easy inspection of the offerings and possible tastings. So glad that we have this weekly market to help guide us to the things that may prompt us to use in our healthy food preparations until the next market period. All in one place…and surrounded by great people and produce. Doesn’t get much better than that!!!!
Best year round market in the area! Great variety of produce and locally made food! To keep things interesting, there are always a few artists and body care products among the rows of vendors. Live music is often featured under the old oaks showcasing the locals as well! Texas Hill Country Olive Oil booth represents the orchard located not far from the market! Guided tasting and recipes are just a part of the offering provided by a very knowledgeable staff member!
Wonderful produce and always fresh. Great people. Great opening hours too.
