Soldotna Saturday Farmers Market was established in 1995 under the name Central Kenai Peninsula Farmers Market as a venue for peninsula growers to show and sell their locally grown fruits, vegetables, herbs, plants, eggs and honey. We have expanded to include cottage foods and local artist/craftspersons.
Our Mission continues to be to showcase Kenai Peninsula grown food, to foster consumer-producer relationships, and to serve as an incubator for new business. We have over two dozen vendors and hundreds of visitors on a typical Saturday. We operate at the Soldotna Elementary School bus turn around at the corner of Kenai Spur Highway and East Corral Ave.
Rain or shine, this market has faithful vendors who care about bringing quality food to the community. It’s great to see veggies and wool products produced by families of some of the original homesteaders of this area, and sometimes herbal products containing native plants harvested by indigenous people. Local food and flowers nourish our community at many levels.
Everyone at this market is like family. Amazing small town market with tones of options from produce, food, crafts and so much more:)
This is the only market in the Central Peninsula where everything sold must be grown or made in Alaska.
Stop by and see all that we can grow and hand-craft on the Central Peninsula of Alaska – you will be surprised and amazed!
