Operated by a grass roots non-profit, Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition, the market sets up in an urban parking lot May to October on Saturdays. The welcoming volunteer staff serves a very local customer base, most of whom walk to the market. There are tents with fresh produce from local farms, and contact teams from non-profit community organizations. Most produce purchases are paid via coupons provided by the city of Boston, and distributed by MFFC to customers upon entrance. WIC and state coupons are also accepted.

Without farms, our markets and tables would be empty. Get a free "No Farms No Food" bumper sticker to show off your support of America's farmers and ranchers.
